A while ago, I was telling you about this designer who is particularly close to my heart: Camille Roussel.
Camille is the first designer to have integrated the project of L’Erudite Concept Store. It shares the vision of work and “know-how” as it is lost today. It is “creation” in the first sense of the word and it is these values that L’Erudite seeks to promote. The brand has a real identity. More than just jewellery, it is real works of art that you offer yourself.
The process
Camille is a resident at the Ateliers de Paris and a member of the Atelier d’Art de France. Before she was a creator, she was an artist. It gives a contemporary and architectural dimension to all its jewels. It will be up to you to build your jewel by combining the colors according to your mood of the day. All earrings, cuffs, bracelets, necklaces,… are reversible. You will therefore have two jewels in one!
A real artist’s work with high quality materials
All you have to do is enter her studio at the Viaduc des Arts in Paris to realize how much work she puts into each of her creations. She works with high quality leather and makes it ultra minimalist and geometric jewellery. Camille uses all kinds of leather to play with materials: matt leather, metallic leather, fish leather, dipped lamb leather, velvet goatskin… The raw material it works with comes from a French Haute Couture tannery with the Eco-Responsible label. The fine gold gilding is done by a parisian gilder.
Everything is thought out in a piece of jewellery, to the point of working on the shapes and volumes to define the right proportions adapted to the body.
The essential is there: quality, ultra vivid colours, geometric shapes. It is a real bias that leaves no one indifferent.
100% French design and manufacturing
Everything is of course handmade from A to Z, in the purest tradition of Parisian creation. Whether it is a question of cutting, assembling or colouring, each piece is made and treated as a unique model. Its collections are therefore very limited.
